Neurodivergent or Disabled? Support That Fits You

Everyone’s brain and body work differently and at AUB, that’s something to be embraced, not hidden. If you’re disabled or neurodivergent, there’s practical support to help you focus on your creativity and studies without unnecessary barriers.

Get Personalised Support

The Disabled & Neurodivergent Students Team offer one-to-one advice on everything from assistive tech to coursework adjustments. They’ll work with you to create a support plan that fits your needs, whether that’s note-taking help, flexible deadlines or exam arrangements. Link below.

Apply for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA)

If you haven’t already, it’s worth applying for DSA. It can fund things like specialist software, ergonomic equipment or study skills mentoring. You can apply online, and AUB’s team can help you gather the paperwork.

Did you know?

  • AUB reimburses the £200 laptop contribution for DSA equipment and helps cover Educational Psychologist report costs — meaning you’re not left out of pocket.

Community and Peer Spaces

Beyond the paperwork, many of us find connection through AUBSU’s clubs and societies. There are groups celebrating neurodiversity and wellbeing, plus social meetups if you just want to chat.
