On popular demand, we’re inviting AUB students to design AUBSU’s official mascot for 2026: a bold, playful character that represents all of us across the year, on posters, events, socials and maybe even merch!

If you love illustration, character design, branding or visual storytelling, this one’s for you

The Challenge

We’re looking for one standout character that can adapt across four AUBSU themes:

• Work – creativity, ambition, focus
• Rest – wellbeing, balance, self-care
• Play – fun, community, connection
• Slay – confidence, identity, empowerment

What You Need to Submit

To enter, you’ll need to provide:

• 4 mascot illustrations One version of your character for each theme: Work / Rest / Play / Slay
• File format: PNGs with transparent backgrounds, 1:1 square format
• Optional: Up to 3 mock-ups (posters, stickers, badges, layouts, etc.)
• A 250-word explanation covering:
  • Why this character works as AUBSU’s mascot
  • How it represents the four themes
  • Your creative decisions and inspiration

Design Guidelines

Your submission must:

• Be original work
• Not use AI-generated or AI-assisted imagery
• Fit AUBSU’s playful, bold, Gen-Z-friendly aesthetic
• Feel adaptable across events, campaigns and platforms
• Use the current AUBSU colour palette and Brand Identity

What You’ll Get

The winning designer will receive:

• A curated self-care goodie bag
• An official AUBSU Certificate
• Posters and badges featuring your mascot
• A full AUBSU promotional feature of your work
• Real-world exposure and a hero portfolio project

Your mascot will become AUBSU’s official character for 2026, featured across posters, events, campaigns, socials, and potentially much more throughout the year.
