Student Assembly – AUB STUDENTS' UNION

Student Assembly

Your space to set priorities, debate ideas and hold your union to account.

What is the Student Assembly?

The Student Assembly is the main democratic forum of AUBSU where students set priorities, debate proposals, and hold elected officers to account.

It brings together course reps, society leaders, student community representatives and interested students to make sure AUBSU stays focused on what matters most to you.

  • What it does: Debates, decides and directs AUBSU’s work
  • Who attends:  Any student can be in attendance.
  • Who decides: Recognised Course reps, Community and Student Group Leaders.
  • Outcomes: Clear actions for the Student Executive and recommendations for Trustees.

This Year's Meetings

Autumn Assembly - Your Priorities

Set the big issues for AUBSU to focus on throughout the year. Recognise new student communities. This is where students decide what matters most for their University experience.

Spring Assembly - Your Campaigns

Our mid-year meeting to check progress, agree new campaigns and projects, and host the official Annual General Meeting (AGM) where members review finances and proposed changes to the Constitution.

Summer Assembly - Your Impact

A celebration and reflection on everything achieved this year — recognising student wins, reviewing impact, and setting recommendations for the next team of officers.
