Aditi Chotra

SU President

Aditi was elected as SU President in March 2025 and took office on 1st July 2025.

Who is Aditi?

I’m Aditi, your Union President! Originally from Delhi, the capital of India, I came to Bournemouth to study BA (Hons) Visual Communication.

As an artist and designer, I’ve always been fascinated by how creativity and community intersect, and at AUB, I found both. The Students’ Union has been central to my journey, offering spaces to lead, collaborate, and push ideas further. Now, I’m here to give back, shaping an SU that is bold, transparent, and rooted in student voices.

My leadership style is creative and ambitious. I see the SU not just as a union, but as a hub for innovation, advocacy, and student expression, a place where we can both challenge systems and celebrate the culture we create together. Bournemouth has been the perfect place for me to learn and lead, a vibrant mix of coast, culture, and opportunity, and I want every student to feel that same sense of belonging and possibility. I’ve always loved supporting and inspiring people who are willing to learn, share, and grow through experiences.

What's the role of the SU President?

I chair the Trustee Board, and a key part of that is making sure our finances are transparent — students deserve to know where their money is going, from tuition to course costs. I also sit on the Board of Governors alongside the University’s Senior Leadership Team, as well as on the Academic Board, Finance Committee, and EDI Committee. My role is to make sure student voices are heard at every level of decision-making.

  • Transparency: Challenging the University to openly share information about tuition, course costs, and investments.

  • Student Spotlight: a regular feature across newsletters, socials, and LinkedIn, celebrating student talent, projects, and achievements.
